Good morning all! I have recently become director of the community agency that was a partner for our site but is now running the site! I need to write a job description to hire a new instructor. I have the sample one from HQ but I am wondering what qualifications people look for. We are an adult program so, while I would like someone with a teaching background, it's not crucial. What other qualifications would be appropriate?

Hello
The following is the official guidance from Project SEARCH regarding adult instructors.
Adult Instructors
• Must have training, experience, and a background in adult basic education, special education, rehabilitation, or a related field that meets the Project SEARCH model.
• Are not required to have a special education license or teacher certification.
I have attached some documents for further guidance.
