Overcoming intern technology limitations

Hello all: We have found it increasingly difficult to plan web-based lesson enhancements due to the fact that our interns are using their school district issued laptops. Each SD has a different security protocol, which can make it impossible for some interns to access websites like Google Drive, which is the only way I know of to share and edit documents together in real time. I'm trying to convince our program sponsor (KenCrest) to supply used laptops or tablets to circumvent this issue. I've actually resorted to supplying interns with my own personal laptops (that I don't ordinarily use). Does any other PS site encounter this same problem and what do they do about it? Thanks in advance.

Mark, Some of the larger business sites do supply laptops or tablets. Another thought would be asking a tech company to sponsor your interns or partner with your site. Grants can often fill the need also. You may also ask your SPED director to write it into the budget for the next year and supply tech support from the system technology person. It sounds like you have several SD involved so possibly you could get an agreement from them on your needed support.
