During Employment Planning Meetings, the interns share their VocFit charts and share some specific skills they are working on. I would like to include a short article about VocFit in our Project SEARCH monthly newsletter to help parents and our partners more fully understand this tool that is used. Is there a paragraph about VocFit that I am able to use in my monthly newsletter? Thank you!

I think Dennis might be able to provide you with a more detailed answer but I would say something along the lines
VocFit is a vocational assessment tool we use to support interns in building skills and achieving their career goals. It evaluates their strengths and areas for growth, helping match them to the right job roles and track their progress throughout the year. We complete VocFit assessments four times a year—before and after each internship rotation and at the end of the program. These assessments provide detailed reports showing skill improvements over time, using a color system (green, yellow, orange, red) to highlight strengths and areas needing focus. VocFit helps us:
- Match interns to suitable job roles.
- Develop targeted training plans.
- Track progress and adjust support as needed.
- Inspire interns with “reach” roles to set long-term career goals.
With VocFit, we ensure each intern has a clear plan, the right support, and the tools to succeed in meaningful employment after Project SEARCH.

Thanks Victoria! That was great. You might want to add that it is evidence-based and NIH-funded. Here is the link to the 'about' page on the VocFit website: https://www.vocfit.com/about.html
