12/12/2023 Topic: Transition Week Ideas Carol Erickson	Hello Lisa, At our site in Northern Wisconsin, we went to the local Job Center and had our interns sign up for their program and/or learn about it and what is offered. We had a manger at National Bank of Commerce come in to speak to our interns about getting a bank account [checking/savings] and give them information on pros and cons of their specific business. We took a trip to the YMCA, they gave us a tour, info on applications and sliding fee scales, healthy living, and they allowed us to take part in a 45 minute exercise class. 6/20/2024 Topic: Project Search Classroom Carol Erickson	One thing my site found helpful was that the school provided a small set of lockers, it was a 4x4 cube locker setup that had a key for each locker. Each intern was responsible for maintaining and cleaning/organizing their lockers and making sure to be responsible for their keys.
9/4/2024 Topic: Getting away from "Volunteer" Carol Erickson	Try contacting your Host Business Liaison. That is who we go through and she communicates with the departments for us. The volunteers is a department we have out interns in but they are in the department for 5 days a week for the whole time. Our interns work along side volunteers and staff. We are at St. Marys, Essentia Health in WI
