Hi all, in the UK we have been delivering a 'Managing Work Related Anxiety' train the trainer. After some really great feedback I am hoping that everyone who has attended it will have tried out some of the strategies and tools provided gthere. I wanted to start a thread to share any changes to the psycho-educational session that you have created and any ways in which you have used the content, so that we can collectively learn from our experiences.
Have you got any experiences to share? edited by lily.beyer@dfnprojectsearch.org on 12/5/2019 |

For those of you who attended you will remember me referencing the Health Matters Curriculum which fits into our category of preventing work related anxiety. If you would like to find out more there is a webinar planned:
May 12, 2020 (1pm - 2pm CST)
Using the Health Matters Curriculum with the Project SEARCH Program Model REGISTER Health and fitness are critical to achieving and maintaining competitive employment. With this in mind, we have developed guidelines for integrating the Health Matters curriculum into the Project SEARCH program year. The guidelines align Health Matters lesson plans with the 8 subject areas of the Project SEARCH course of study and provide a week-by-week blueprint for curriculum delivery. In this presentation we will discuss the guideline document and share knowledge gained through a pilot trial of the curriculum guidelines at 10 Project SEARCH sites throughout Ohio. |

I wanted to start a thread for teams in the UK who are struggling with Access to Work claims at the moment. Lots of teams are reporting challenges with claiming Access to Work. Teams are also sharing information on guidance provided by Access to Work offers.
I would be great for teams to use this thread to share this news or to collectively problem solve issues. i will keep an eye on the thread and give updates as I receive them. |

Bryony, Thanks for this. I believe that many of the AtW operatives at the DWP have been redeployed to other areas and this has led to a back log. I agree that lodging a complaint seems to speed up their responses. If anyone is keen to go down this route the complaints email address is: atw.complaintsresolutionteam@dwp.gov.uk. |
