9/3/2024 Topic: Getting away from "Volunteer" Ruth Poirier	Hi All, We are working with a hospital that has put us through the Volunteer onboarding process. they have the interns fill out a volunteer application and then checks references, then the CORI, then the immunization records. the CORI and Immunization requirements absolutely we agree that should happen, however, the volunteer coordinator seems to feel she can tell us where we can intern. She works with high school students and they are placed all over the hospital 2 days per week for 2 hrs. Our interns are NOT volunteers, no matter how i say it, or explain it, she just isnt getting it. Now she is trying to say that she doesnt want our individuals "overlapping" with her students. Which is ridiculous. We have recently gone through a change with the person we are reporting to...the vice president of operations was our person, but we have not met with our new person yet. This is so frustrating. Has anyone gone through anything similar?
